Courses in Applied Psychometrics

I taught short courses in Applied Psychometrics at the University of Cambridge from 2010 to 2012.

The courses were developed with support of  the ESRC Researcher Development Initiative grant "Advancing Quantitative Methods in Psychological Assessment".

The course materials are now hosted on the ESRC sustainable repository ReStore, where you can find a full archive of five short courses and two summer schools. Each course comprises a combination of lectures, research examples, software demonstrations and practical computing sessions, using commercial and open source software packages (Mplus, R, and other freeware).

The tutorials can be used for distant learning. Guidance provided includes an introduction to each tutorial that covers learning objectives and the minimum entry level of knowledge for learners.

Current courses

Currently, I teach an undergraduate statistics module (SP500) and a postgraduate advanced statistics module (SP801) at School of Psychology of the University of Kent.

I also teach workshops and master classes from time to time, which are advertised here.

Doctoral research students

I welcome applications from potential Doctoral students interested in modern psychometric modelling (structural equation modelling, optimal questionnaire design, item response theory, etc.).
